Chase Mills, New York, in scenic St. Lawrence County, is in the northernmost part of the state. Six miles south of Highway 37, and well off the beaten path, Chase Mills has classic small-town ambiance. Chase Mills lies thirteen miles southwest of the bustling town of Massena, NY. Overlooking the great St. Lawrence River, Massena is one of the fastest-growing commercial and industrial centers in the county. The city of Ogdensburg, also on the St. Lawrence River, is only twenty-seven miles away. Its location offers many advantages and incentives for incoming businesses, including access to major shipping routes through the Port of Ogdensburg, positioned on the US/Canadian border

Chase Mills is a small town (population slightly over 700) with a handful of businesses and one post office. The National Historic Register lists the beautiful Chase Mills Inn (historic significance: 1850-1874) as a thriving business today.

Winters can be brisk here, with an average temperature of 22, but summers average a comfortable 72 degrees. Precipitation in the region ranges from 36 to 40 inches of rain and snowmelt.

For recreation, Coles Creek State Park, less than ten miles away, has wooded and open campsites near a swimming beach on Lake St. Lawrence. The lake is grat for boating and fishing as well. A marina at the mouth of Coles Creek is just north of the park entrance and offers boat rentals. The park also has a playground, playing fields and a large pavilion. The St. Lawrence River is home to bass, pike, walleye, perch, muskellunge and other species. It offers spectacular fishing opportunities from the shore or by boat. Many charter services and guides are available on the river at Lake Ontario and in the Thousand Island area. The Iroquois called this area "The Garden Place of the Great Spirit".

Chase Mills is only seventy miles from Ottawa, Canada's capital, a vibrant, colorful city that welcomes all visitors. The region offers nightclubs, fine dining, world-class shopping, thirty museums and over fifty art galleries and theaters.

A beautiful mosaic is captured in an aerial view of communities on the Raquette River from Hannawa Falls to Norfolk, including the Chase Mills Community.

Chase Mills, a quiet place, within easy reach of many major cities, state parks and natural splendor, might be the perfect place to settle.
